Privacy Policy — what this site actually does with your details
Written against the code that is deployed today, not downloaded from a generator. If a line says something is not used, it is not used.
The short version
If you fill in a form on this site, what you type goes into a Google Sheet and an email inbox that Urban Techx controls. It is not sold on, there are no advertising pixels, and there is no analytics tracker loading alongside you. Nothing on this site sets a cookie.
What the forms collect
Three forms exist, on the homepage, the services page and the careers page. Each asks for something different.
- Project enquiry (homepage) — your name, phone number and message are required; email, business name, the service you think you need, a budget range and a timeline are optional.
- Service brief (services page) — your name, phone number and the services you selected are required; email and any description in your own words are optional.
- Job application (careers page) — your name, phone number, the role and what you bring to the table are required; email, location, experience, availability and a portfolio link are optional.
Curriculum vitae are not uploaded through this website. Applicants are asked to email theirs directly to techxurban@gmail.com, which keeps file handling out of the site entirely.
What travels with a submission
Alongside what you typed, a few technical details are recorded on the same row so an enquiry can be understood in context.
- which page of this site the form was sent from,
- campaign parameters, if you arrived through a link that carried them (source, medium, campaign),
- the referring page, if your browser passes one,
- your browser's user-agent string and the time of submission.
A user-agent string is a plain description of browser and device. It is not collected on ordinary page views — only when you send a form.
Where it goes, and who can see it
Forms are posted to a Google Apps Script web app operated by Urban Techx. That script writes one row into a Google Sheet and then sends an email copy. Google is the processor for that data, under Google's own terms, for as long as the account exists.
There is no CRM, mailing list, lead marketplace or advertising platform in the path. The people who read the sheet and the inbox are the people at Urban Techx.
What this site loads in your browser
These requests happen during an ordinary visit, so the service receiving them sees your IP address the way any web request would.
- Google Fonts — both typefaces used here are served from Google's font hosts.
- jsDelivr — the library behind the 3D backdrop, requested from that CDN once the browser is otherwise idle.
- randomuser.me — the round faces beside the client notes on the homepage. Read the note further down before taking them as anything else.
The sample website builds under /website-portfolio/ ask for two more things, because those pages were built with a different toolkit:
- cdn.tailwindcss.com — the stylesheet engine those six demos were written against.
- images.pexels.com — the photographs inside those demos. Pexels serves them under its own free licence.
Nothing there is used to identify you; each is an ordinary asset request that carries your IP address like any other.
These happen only when you use them: wa.me if you tap a WhatsApp button, cal.com if you open the strategy-call booking page, and linkedin.com or instagram.com if you tap those links. Once you are with them, their privacy terms apply, not these.
One more, conditional: if real client websites are ever listed on the portfolio page, each card draws its thumbnail from s.wordpress.com/mshots, which fetches that client's own site. No client is listed today, so that request does not happen.
What is deliberately not here
- No analytics or measurement tag runs today. The code carries a Google Analytics 4 connection behind a switch that is switched off, so no tracker script is requested at all. If it is ever turned on, this page gets rewritten first.
- No advertising, retargeting or conversion pixels.
- No embedded video players, maps or social widgets.
- No cookies, and therefore no consent banner. The only thing written to your device is described below.
- No payment or card details are collected anywhere on this site.
What is stored on your device
This site uses your browser's session storage for two narrow jobs: holding campaign parameters briefly so they can be attached to a form you submit later in the same visit, and remembering that you closed the small status panel in the corner. Session storage is discarded when the tab closes. There is no persistent local storage and no indexed database.
How long things are kept
A submission stays in the sheet and in the email history until someone at Urban Techx deletes it. Nothing purges automatically. That is precisely why the deletion request below is worth using if you want something actually gone, rather than merely unanswered.
Your choices
Email techxurban@gmail.com and say which enquiry you mean. You can ask what was recorded, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be removed from the sheet and the mailbox. If you applied for a role, the same address covers your application and your CV.
You can also send nothing at all. The WhatsApp button and the booking page are offered on every page for exactly that reason.
How submissions are protected
The site is served over HTTPS. Checking happens on the server as well as in the form: required fields are verified, phone numbers must look like phone numbers, an address is rejected if it is malformed, a hidden field that no person can see catches automated submissions, and repeat sends from the same number are ignored for ten minutes. No password, key or token is placed in the page source.
Nothing is unbreakable. This page does not claim otherwise.
An honest note about the homepage faces
The portraits beside the client notes are generic stock images pulled from randomuser.me. They are not photographs of the people quoted in those notes. They should not be read as evidence that those people exist in the form implied. That section needs correcting before it carries the weight of a reference, and this paragraph exists so the gap is on the record rather than buried in a template.
If this changes
Updating this page is the only notice given. The date at the top moves when the substance changes.
What still needs a professional
This policy describes what the website does. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and it does not certify compliance with any particular law. Urban Techx operates from India; the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and any foreign regime that applies to the visitors you actually serve, should be confirmed with professional advice before anyone relies on this page for compliance.
